Stuck on preparing to copy items

I"m trying to backup my iPhone 6 to my MacPublication Pro (2014) and it save sticking at the last step and states "preparing to copy items". I tried syncing with one more MacBook Pro (2012) and also obtained the very same result. I successfully synced an iPhone 5 without any problems. The software application on all devices is approximately day.

In addition, I adjusted the establishing in iTunes so that the iPhone would not sync automatically. In spite of this being the instance, iTunes open up and also starts syncing each time I affix it to the MacBook. I shown the settings were collection to prevent automatic sync. I likewise cannot sheight the sync by clicking the "X" to speak it. I have to quit iTunes entirely.

I had the very same trouble - stuck on preparing to copy. Fixed it by going to Settings > General > iTunes Wi-Fi Sync on iPad and picking Cancel Sync - then selecting Sync Now. My iPad synced with no difficulty after that.

Both MacBooks are running Sierra 10.12.4. The iTunes version is 12.6 and iPhones are on iOS 10.3.
