Hi Irfan,

This concern might be as a result of the reality that there is no drive letter assigned to the drive accessible in Disk Management.

Does the drive show up under Documents Explorer?

I would certainly indicate you to usage Diskpart tool to assign a drive letter to the drive and examine if it helps.

You can follow the steps:

c) At the DISKPART prompt, type:

list volume

Make note of the variety of the basic volume whose drive letter you want to asauthorize.

d) At theDISKPART prompt, type:

choose volume n

Select the volume, wbelow n is the volume"s number, whose drive letter you desire to asauthorize, change, or remove.

e) At the DISKPART prompt, type among the following:

assign letter=L

Do not adjust anypoint. The oem partition is not intended to have actually a drive letter. It is a covert partition that has recoextremely options and diagnostics. Did you enable the recovery to finish the gain back or did you soptimal it after it started.? You should call Dell Support for aid if you are still under warranty. Run the Dell diagnostics to watch if the hard drive has a difficulty.

Hello,

I am sorta having actually the exact same issue. A let my lapheight go for two weeks without turning it on, but as soon as I did, I obtained a blue display screen saying "This PC has encountered an issue and will start Automatic Repair. Reference error: "NTFS_File_System" and "FAT_File_System". Letting it proceed with automatic repair, it would reboot and be stuck in this consistent loop of: Blue Screen Error > Prep Auto Repair > Reboot > Blue Screen Error; so on and also so forth...

I have actually run BIOS diagnostics to see if anything failed, however every little thing had actually passed. I rebooted my laptop and encountered the exact same thing. I then managed to initiate the CMD and also sifted with DISKPART to view my drives and partitions, yet noticed my default Drive in CMD was now labeled "X:"

I"ve spent a number of days on this now, and also going with my drives and partitions; cannot find a drive or partition labeled "X:"

When I tried to Factory Reset my lapheight, it would certainly tell me my Drive Partition is lacking.

I"m not particular why or as soon as this mysterious X: drive showed up, however I really don"t want to front $200+ to fix somepoint that I can maybe carry out myself with the appropriate guidance.

But as of appropriate currently, my default SYS drive (c:) is appearing as (X:).. Any indevelopment or assistance would certainly be considerably appreciated, also if it indicates wiping my entire system and starting over. In which situation, this is what I"m having trouble doing because of this "missing drive."
